Requesting a new designer

Step 1: Project Lead creates an Asana task in the project and assigns it to the Rob. The task will provide details into what is needed: deliverable overview, length of time, and details about the role requested.

Here’s Rob’s intake form for that info:

Step 2: Rob will review the task, tag it into the design team space to track it, determine designer availability while assessing relevant skill set, and either assign a designer for the role, or flag that there is no one available.

Step 3.1: If there is staff available, the Rob will follow up with the Project Lead to let them know who will be available for the task, and make an intro to both of them if necessary. Project Lead will brief the assigned designer with the appropriate details.

Step 3.2: If there is no designer available, the Rob will escalate to Management (likely Taylor), to bring in outside staff and inform the Project Lead that there is no designer currently available to take on this work, and that additional designer searches are underway.
